Anyone have an opinion, which one is best? I am surprised there is no Heckler & Koch UMP or Heckler & Koch MP7 entry!

This is just a buy for things to study and looked at, ie " inform current capabilities for the Capability Production Document", someone is using taxpayers' money to buy toys so they can let a bunch of people shoot these guns, do a bunch of surveys and write a report.

This seems to be the most reasonable explanation. My prediction is that this program will go nowhere, just like the Interim Combat Service Rifle program, and for the same reason. Pistol-calibre SMGs are obsolete for military use, just as are full-power rifles for general issue.

Some of these blogs are just sensationalizing things, probably to stir interests in products. One of these writers probably is subscribed to US government contract database and got an alert, so he/she wrote a fluff piece for traffic

Of course this is going nowhere. Somewhere someone has got money in the budget so they went to town with the money and write a report for their own interest. It is ridiculous this is anything semi important and really related to any procurement decision, come on, they even include some crappy turkish MP5 clones. They are actually spending 50K on MP5 clones.....some one should beat the guy with a stick.

He probably got a lot of stickers at SHOT SHOW......
