From the day you sent your PAL request (PPA in french).. how long did you have to wait before receiving your PPA ?

Waiting is the hardest part for me.. would really appreciate your input on how long did you have to wait from A to Z..

Im going to the PPA course this weekend (june, 9).

How long till the exam result..
How long till the license ? (from shipping PPA request day 1 to license in your hand)

also..

My brother sent his request on the 15th of may.. and the internet account whatever-way-to-check-your-status online still say nothing.. should we be worry ?

Sorry for those you got their license, real gun nutz will understand how a day waiting can feels like a month to those who are waiting and be able to legally shoot!! :D

Oh.......I feel your pain.

I've heard guys say it can get done, from the date of the course to having a PAL in your hands, in two months. It took me about seven months, and I've heard longer. I think it depends how fast you process all the steps, getting the forms filled out, returned, etc.

Exam result, same weekend, in person, don't EVER touch a trigger, just keep telling yourself that. I heard a story of a guy who taped his fingers together, because he kept failing over touching the trigger. That and muzzle control, don't point the gun at anybody, another instant fail situation.

Wanna hear a funny story? I got my FAC, in Montreal, 20+ years ago, took less than two weeks!!! Back in the good old days, before Lepine, and all the changes.

Then, I lost interest in guns, sold everything, my FAC expired, and then last year I decided to get back into it. So off to the course I went, from the time I booked the course it took about seven months to get done, but I was a little lazy and it happened during a mail strike.

Your brother just has to sit tight, a month is nothing in this process.

Trust me get your Rpal at the same time, best decision I ever made. Until then enjoy the exciting world of Air Rifles under 500 fps, great trainers, seriously.

All the best.
