Articule written on the Mueller Optics TAC II

My experience is that it is always the mechanical parts of the scope that fail. Next is customer service, Leupold #1 fast and efficient. Bushnell bottom of the barrel slow and crap. I have no experience with Mueller but is they are anything like Bushnell for repair then stay far away.

Mueler Customer Service

If you don't have any experience with Muellers customer service in Canada or the U.S. how can you make such a statement. I suggest you engage your brain before your mouth. Or at least have some expertise in what your saying.

What's the deal with where they are manufactured? Doesn't say anywhere on their website......the link says Japan for that TacII model, but there is no way the $100-$200 priced scopes are made there......

Hunting experience today

I have been using a Mueller APV on my Tikka .338 WM for the pre-season sight-in, and load workup to good results. Today we spotted four mule deer about 240 yd away, I was looking with my Pentax 10x binocs and my buddy with his 3200 3x9. He thought he saw one buck. I told him to grab my rifle out of the truck and using the Mueller I saw not one but two were bucks and we dropped them. This scope has seen numerous full load rounds from my .338 and has functioned flawlessly. It took only one shot to down my buck and two for my buddy with his Bushnell. Draw your own conclusions, but my buddy has said he will now buy a Mueller APV for his rifle. Dr. Karl H Hoehne

conclusion: your buddy can't shoot and you can. doesn;t say anything about scope's quality. to many variables.

A post from another forum

Sight in issue resolved, bad erector springs in the adjustment turret. I reinstalled my old scope and my groups were back in the 1-1.5'' range. I got a bad new scope, thankfully the folks at Mueller Optics are fixing me up with no problem at all. Its nice to have great customer service.

I have one of the first APVs, and am very happy with it in all respects. In my opinion it compares favorably with far more expensive scopes.....and yes, I have a few and have done the hands on comparison thing. No mechanical problems whatsoever.:D
