Okay, it's seems to be the concensus that deer do not care if hunters piss in the woods, and they may actually be attracted to it. And most feel that commercial scent blockers and such are marketing gimmicks with no real world value. But what about the artificial "Doe In Heat" deer piss that you spray on a cotton ball and hang from a tree? Another gimmick, or a useful tool to have?

Can't say with deer, but that is a VERY effective practice for moose.
Been responsible for more of their demises than can be counted.

I've brought in deer many times using deer in estrus lure applied to small strips of green or brown cloth tied to bushes & lower tree branches.

Just don’t spill any on yourself or you won’t be in it for the hunting.
Thats the last thing you want spilled on you while in the bush.
Not to mention how your vehicle will smell or walking into a restaurant smelling of sour doe urine ....
But, hundred of guys swear by it and others are just natural deer spotter/killers .
Wear gloves if your going to play with the stuff though, otherwise your ole lady is gonna start asking questions

I once had a couple of opened and half full bottles of deer piss left. I mixed them all together with one liter of water and put the mix into a sprayer. I then went to spray it all around my blind .... and I mean all around .... the whole one liter of the mix .... on leaves ... on tree trunks ... on the floor .... on moss ... 20 meters away 50 meters away .... 100 meters away .... etc.
A week later I walked into my blind very early in the morning and before light and there were noises of animals all around me. But I could not see them ... it was too dark. And they did not spook from me walking and making noises when stepping on the dry leaves on the forest floor. I guess there was too much noise all around and for the deer to be able to single me out as a human.
I settled into my blind and waited for light .... and yes, there were deer all over and around my blind. And does bedded/laid down just 30 meters from me. And there was also one moose grazing ...
I never tried it again ..... I am still wondering if this was a coincidence .... or if that spray mix attracted all those animals into that area ... and they stayed in that area around my blind for a week .... or came back every morning for a social gathering .... ?

Considering that the deer's sense of smell is considered to be anywhere from 100 to 1000 times (or possibly more) better than that of a human I'm not a big fan of odor eliminating products. They'll still be able to smell our breath regardless of what you might chew of rinse your mouth with. I remember growing up back in the 60s, a lot of hunters at that time smoked while hunting and normally bagged their animal no problem. A lot of them swore that the cigarette/pipe smoke drew the animals in due to curiosity. The big thing was movement.
Ive never had any luck with any product, piss, in estrus, orbital gland, liquid or smoke.
2 overweight and out of shape guys I used to work with were moose hunting up north. One decided to leave a scent trail to draw bulls out to an area by the truck for an easy shoot and one stayed at the vehicle. A short while later the one at the truck heard his buddy smashing about in the bush and broke cover looking terrified screaming "Shoot, Shoot!" and dove to the ground with a very horny Bullwinkle right behind. They got that moose.
Not a smoker anymore. But I swear, just like if you want your cab to show up light a dart. The same thing with deer. Id light my DuMarurier and poof a deer would show up.
I use them, I dont know if they work. But I use them.
