Last year at SHOT Show we began a great relationship with custom rifle manufacturer Ashbury Precision Ordnance in order to supply our customers with an option for precision long range work where quality could be assured the same as we can all rely on the attention to detail of a Wilson Combat shotgun or a Nighthawk Custom pistol. They delivered a little earlier this year and though much of the shipment was spoken for and has already left the building, we finally have all our ducks in a row to show what we have in stock. If you're new to precision shooting, or you haven't heard of Ashbury Precision, don't worry; I've got some information for you here that sums this family-owned business up:
The staff over at Ashbury are a very nice group to work with and are extremely responsive to end-user input for future revisions. That's because they're all shooters themselves -- that's a surprisingly rare thing in this industry, and the companies who really live and breathe their firearms are all standout organizations... most of the true leaders and innovators that top the charts for quality are made up of employees and management that shoot, every week, and they really know their stuff inside and out. Ashbury is proof of this. When we speak with them we have yet to meet an employee who doesn't know their rifles like the back of their hand.
They participated in the USSOCOM Precision Sniper Rifle program to produce a next generation sniper platform and were finalists along with the Remington MSR, losing only on deliverable price for the complete suite. Their accuracy was standout and typified the results of a Surgeon action and a Rock Creek Pinnacle 5R barrel being hand fitted and trued by genuine craftsmen. Never afraid to push their designs further, their chassis systems incorporate complex manufacturing techniques to seamlessly integrate aluminum and carbon fiber for an extremely rigid build.
