ashuapmushuan small game opening last week

So we went back from the small game opening in the ashuapmushuan reserve last weekend, we had a hell of a trip and the game was there We shot down 15 birds on the first day but had to toss one because baddly hit, here's pictures. We got 5 the next morning in about 3 hours of hunting. total 5 ruffed and 15 spruce for 3 hunters. Kind of far from Quebec city but it worth the trip for sure.

yes, ladies. They've made great shots and they did their part for the dressing/butchering Next weekend it's opening in Port-Neuf réserve, i doubt we will get that much, let's see !.

How do you like the Reserves, Yannick? I was thinking of making a day trip to Mastigouche with my dog. It is certainly reasonably priced.

Looch, I haven't been to Mastigouche other then for fishing, i don't know for small game but it seems to me that there's not a lot of trails, when i look on the map is see mainly the routes to reach lakes etc... But for Port-neuf, Parc des Laurentides and Ashuapmoushuan they are all great. In ashuapmoushuan you have a dedicated zone for hunters with dog and walkers, no vtt or cars allowed.
