Hello gunners...trying to find out more on this percussion cap musket that is being offered to me...any assistance on identifying the maker/type is greatly appreciated so I can offer a fair and reasonable value on it.

I see no military/unit markings so I gather it is a civilian hunting type. My initial thoughts were it may be a trade gun.

Thanks in advance.

Looks to be a shotgun. There are no maker's marks in your photos.
The marks on the barrel are post-1813 Birmingham proof marks. The one on the breech is post-1855. "25" is the gauge.
The barrel may be a repurposed Enfield rifled musket type barrel.
The bar action lock and breech are a common civilian sporting style.
If by "trade gun" you mean fur trade, HBC, etc., no it isn't.

Notice the similarity of the markings. The OP's gun has had the decorative bands installed, simulating the gold bands on sporting guns. The nipple seat is not of the Enfield pattern.
I suspect that the barrel is a reworked Enfield style.
