At home case hardening

A buddy of mine picked up a very crusty 1894 Winchester. He cleaned it up and we casehardened and nitre blued the smaller parts today. I think it looks much better now. Next he needs to reline the 38-55 barrel and make a stock set.

I get the impression there is another Oskar who does colour case hardening. The Oskar that I am familiar with is Oscar Gaddy who published a couple of articles in the Doublegun Journal quite a few years ago and who I think died 5 or 10 years ago

cheers mooncoon
