I fired about 75 slugs and about 65 birdshot and have no bruises at all :p ....makes me glad I am a recoil mutant. Now that your wife has 'seen the light' ;) re Specops you have to start working towards a short barrel.

I finally got everyone home around midnight last night from the hospital with the nurses giving my new shooting partner a clean bill of health...

I'm planning on buying a new 10mm handgun to celebrate his arrival...

Yes I will use any excuse I can to get a new gun...

Now to decide which make... :wave:
 
I am totally leaning towards the G29 to go with my G20...

I have a G23 40S&W ordered all ready that should be here soon so I'm thinking of ordering a G27 to go with the G23 as well... :)

Ahhh... nothing like matching guns...
 
Hi all,
Here is the informal shotgun velocity test information:
Ammunition was 2 3/4" Federal Classic 1 oz. (Grey/Blue Box) Slugs.
Test Guns were 20" Mossberg 590, 16" Factory Remington 870, 14" DAC/870 Remington
Velocities:
20" : 1513 fps average
16" : 1413 fps average
14" : 1353 fps average
Velocity loss was 25-30 fps per inch of barrel lost.
I really liked seeing four 454 SRHs together (4.25", 5.5", and two 7.5") , especially liked the Crimson Trace grips on the short one. Lots of fun but hard on the wrists after a while!
