Athlon Ares 15-45x65 or Bushnell Legend T-Series 15-45x60

Hi guys,

Looking at these 2 optics; Athlon Ares 15-45x65 or Bushnell Legend T-Series 15-45x60. Can get them for roughly the same price. Comments, concerns?

From what I have read so far, the Ares is noticeably better glass? Main difference seems to be layout of controls and that the Bushnell has some accessory rails and a mil reticle? I can get a mil reticle for about $150 for the Ares, but it's fixed power at 22.

Any other suggestions for under $1000? For something that will get me out to 600 yards with good reads, mirage, trace, wind calls etc...

I had the Legend-T for a while and it is definitely usable although it has it's limitations. The Ares with the fixed mil reticle may provide you with better glass but personally I'm not a big fan of fixed magnification spotters as I often turn the magnification way down when conditions warrant it.

Thanks so much! Great read and exactly what I needed to make a decision. It just so happens I had a lead on a Cronus Tactical but didn't mention. Will definitely try and grab it.
