Hi folks,

Looking to upgrade the scope on my Tikka T3 Hunter Stainless in .30-06. Currently running the 3-9x40 Burris Full Field II that came with the rifle. Not a bad scope, has done the job for what we do, but I’m hoping to get an elk tag this year and do some whitetail hunting in more open terrain which I’ve never done before and I’d like to kick it up a notch as far as my optics.

Really like the sound of the Athlon Midas HMR HD 2.5-15x50 with the BDC 600 A reticle. I’ve been told it’s a step up from equivalent Vortex or Burris offerings.

Anyone have any experience with them? I’m probably not able to get my hands on one to take a look before I order it, so any info/thoughts are appreciated.

Cheers!

Yes, contact Jerry info@mysticprecision.com

I have 2 Athlon's (Midas TAC 5-25X56 MIL, Argos BTR 6-24X50 FFP APMR IR) and just ordered another from him yesterday - Midas HMR 2.5-15×50 with the AHMR MOA reticle.....

For the price I have been very happy with Athlon Scopes. A shooting buddy has the scope with reticle you are interested in and he is impressed with it.

Jerry is making his order this week so contact him asap.

Seems like a great guy, very quick responses, had it all taken care of in a few messages.

Now I have to figure out how to mount the damn thing. Rail is the obvious answer, but I hate the look of a bumpy rail under the scope on a wood stock rifle.
