I'm trying to choose between these two reticles. As far as I can tell the main difference is the APRS3 has the dark vertical centreline on top and the APRS6 doesn't. There are very minor differences on the subtension measurements but both have the same floating .05 centre dot. They have a slightly different shape to the "Christmas tree".

Is the APRS6 the new version of APRS3? Are there any other differences I'm missing? If not, is it mostly just personal preference about the dark vertical centerline on top that I should consider?

I have the APRS5, it has the same size center dot as both of those, at 20x it is easy to see on my gong at 1040, and the " bracketing" of the reticle is nice too, helps keep you centered. The vertical line on the 6 has finer increments, so technically will allow more precise hold overs. I don't shoot PRS, so I have been dialing elevation.

I have mine on a 6.5 CM. My app shows 870 yards to get to 7 MILS. so for the S3 reticle, it would be the same as mine. So the S6 would be more precise, but the S3 may be quicker from less clutter.
Download the Strelok Pro app, you can put most any reticle into the program and see what it would look like. I think I would try the S6.

That's great. Thanks. Good idea about Strelok too. I have it but didn't think of that.
