ATI AR-22 Stock with 6 or 8 sided hand guard?

I'm looking to upgrade my 10/22 with and ATI AR-22 stock but I'm wondering which version is better? The 6 or 8 sided hand guard? Looking to attach a bipod.

Also I'd like to go to a shorter barrel. Shortest available while maintaining the 660mm non-restricted limit. Any suggestions?

Does the ATI take any AR handgruard?
If so your options are limited on money.
Imo Id go with a cabonfiber handguard.
However if I read right and youll be mostly shooting using the bipod.
Weight isnt an issue.
