ATI SKS Folding Stock

Simple question for owners / users . Is it any good ? Tough ? or a complete POS ?

Craig I only heard negative things about this stock from people who had it. The main issue is the pivot for the folding stock getting loose and making the stock wobble.

There is a definite wiggle, but it works. However, as folding the stock and shooting from the hip is less than profitable, I'd suggest something a little more solid.

I've seen it Lineman ( the posts) but its not as short as a folder. Not that I've completly dismissed the idea , still looking for options.

I want one of these. I read in this post about the folders getting wobbly.

As a side not. Your pole link does not work.

I own and shoot an SKS with this stock. It is a bit wobbly if you move the stock laterally, but works ok when shooting. Folds up to a compact unit. Angle of stock works very well when using the open sights. This is the lightest of the ATI stocks. The fit is typical and very functional.

would be great if they could adapt a butler creek steel hinge unit but the synthetic material is quite tough.

I have tried some AR stocks that also had a definite wiggle too. However, during recoil, all was well. I don't see this as being a negative in the sks product.

Yes, it does start to wobble after some use.
The new SKS M4 style 6-pos. stock could be an interesting alternative.
