ATI Stock - can it be too snug?

I had to remove a tiny amount of material on the edge of the stock (just in one place about 5" long) to get the barrel in. As it is I have to torque the stock open a bit and the barrel 'snaps' in.

I'm wondering if this will be an issue once the barrel heats up.

I've seen a couple of videos on installation and typically the barrel just drops in without being forced.

Thanks :)

you have to bow it a little at the magwell to get the stock in, then it straightens and tightens up, i didn't have to modify anything to get it to go into the stock. but i did grind down the back so i can get the receiver cover off without removing the grip. mine's gotten hot and no issues :)

Thanks. Very reassuring. Now if I can just find the proper 'magic item' to replace the pin from the gas piston cover I'm all set ;)

I must say with that stock the rifle shoulders very nicely and feels like it'll be fun to shoot.
