In a failed attempt to open-up and center the screw holes, I made the holes too big. Yes, <<I royally fooked up>>

The bottom metal is made of aluminum and is quite soft and easy to work with.

Is there anybody that can properly drill two recesses about 2-3 mm deep and add thicker washers?

I can't recall the size of the action screws, but I think they're 6mm in diameter. I would want some slack, so 7mm holes would be about perfect.

Thanks in advance.

Atlasworx Tikka T3 bottom metal comes pre drilled, does not it ? I have two of them and they went in perfectly .

You wouldn't want to use devcon for that. The washers is the best bet. Any machine shop could do that in about 10 minutes, but to be honest from the sounds of it you may want to send it to a smith to do the install.

You were lucky. Mine was predrilled, but the holes were off-centre and slightly too small in diameter. Also, it certainly didn't drop-in to my Tikka walnut stock. It required some material removal to fit it in. Not impressed with it.

I will eventually send it off to a smith to drill recesses for washers. For now, happy with the polymer trigger guard.

that is strange that holes did not line up ,you should have contact Colin Bowler of Atlasworx to exchange it, he is a fair guy . I had to inlet some wood as well from my Boyds laminated stock but holes were right were they should be ,I did it all myself and it looks great .

If you want mine for one your cool builds, just PM me. I'm going to stick with the tried and true factory polymer units.

[EDIT: errr... never mind... it went faster than white lightning. :) ]

I have 2 of them ,that's enough for me . second I placed in CTR stock just in case if I will ever go hunting (dreaming) , Tikka CTR in MDT chassis in a bit heavy to hunt with :(
I just prefer a pistol grip for target shooting.Original stocks are just fine and shoot great .
good luck and have fun with your tikka !
