I was looking for a new scope, and a night vision binoculars to see what my dogs keep barking about at night, and I thought why not an ATN 6x night vision scope...

Anybody have one, tried one, heard stories?

I am stuck deciding between the head mount binoculars and the 6x riflescope, as they're any good

I see no one has responded...and I must emphasize I have no first-hand experience, but when ATN came out with their high magnification scopes, and recommended them for use on the 50BMG, they were kind of a flop. The 50 shooters in the states kind of classes them as junk, in most of the reviews I read. Just another case of "you get what you pay for" I suppose. However, I haven't really read much about their night vision stuff.....they're still around, so must be selling some.....

Not much help to you, I know, but perhaps others will chime in....

hey man.
so i started some threads about nv scopes and no bites yet.
i read lots about everything i want to buy, i looked at atn at first because they were on wolverine, read everything about them and about 2/10 reveiws on them were good.
then i started reading about yukon , and has proven to be a far better buy.
they have hand picked milled grade tubes and have WAY better reviews, 7/ 10 reviews are good. seems like yukon is the way to go. after watching every video and reading every review and i was hell bent on buying a gen 1 yukon nvrs tactical scope, but then i realized its a 7 hundred dollar scope with alomost no magification and the only way anything is visilbe is with your ir iiluminator or your 100 dollar flashlight attachment and 100 dollar lens magification attachment. so with the scope plus tax plus acessories your at 1000 dollars. when a gen 3 scope is a little more than 3000, so now im throwing money aside every month for a gen 3, because you might as well have the best. if your gonna drop a G on a peice of #### that has so many limitations, then your probably willing to drop a couple more on something that you can see everything with and still have decent range.
check eastwave.ca they carry alot of nv stuff mostly yukon i think, trying to order scopes from the us is a no go, and eastwave is the next affordable alternative i can find.
i have no experience with nightvision at all, but just from reading experience its seems the best way to go is to just save your moeny and hopefully by that time prices will have gone down
