For the experts out there

If I have a restricted firearm mailed to me from the dealer, but have to pick it up at the post office, do I need a completely seperate ATT to take it home from there, or would my long term ATT cover it?

I have the reg certificate already, and the ATT is good for any range, gunsmith and border crossing in BC. The only condition is that the reg certificate accompany the firearm being transported

Thanks!

Doesnt your ATT state which fire-arms it applies to?

As far as I know you need a Temporary Transport Permit (or whatever the acronym for it is) [NAT?]

I was close

"Temporary Authorisation to Transport"

BUT the loophole here is... does it say its a fire-arm on the box? Cause if not as far as you knew you were picking up a regular package ;)

Yeah as far as I know it doesn't say that. It's just a regular package. I can't see how one would need a second ATT to take the gun home, when I already have one to take it to and from the range every day. I'm just curious more than anything.

My ATT applies to any restricted firearm that I own as long as the registration certificate is with it while I'm transporting it. I'm sure some of you have similar conditions?

Has anyone had to go pick up a restricted firearm lately that would know if a long term ATT is sufficient?

Thanks Gamer!

You don't need an ATT. The postal service/courier is transporting the Firearm between the two addresses.
If you have to pick it up at the post office make sure you don't open it untill you get home. As long as the package has not been opened we would assume that you don't even know what's inside the box.
