Hey guys hoping someone can help...ill give you as much details as possible.

So I purchased my first handgun and have it stored at home.

I am not a member of any shooting club yet as the club I want to join isnt all that organised in new member aquisition and been waiting for a month so far...

The issue now is a bought a house and was suppose to move in sep 1st. However some legal issues with the house have presented themselves and its very possible that I wont beable to move in. If thats the case I will be staying a few weeks with the Inlaws until the house issues are corrected. So Ill need a ATT to beable store it at their home for the time being.

Just wondering what my best options are..?
I am unable to apply for a Long term ATT until i become a member of a club, and cant apply for a short term ATT without having applied for a long term correct? So Im wondering if i can still somehow get authorization to trasnport my firearm to his home. Also with that ill assume Ill need to inform someone that the firearm will be stored in a new home?

thanks

You will need to inform the CFC of your change of residence, and then they should grant you a STATT to bring it from your current address to your new address.

STATT are in no way reliant upon already having an LTATT, they are separate things. You can apply for a STATT pretty much anytime, such as when you purchase a firearm and want to take it home, or as applies to this situation when you're moving. Call the CFC and they should be able to clear things up easy.
One of the things I dislike is that all the other CFOs require range membership before they approve a transfer, when there seem to be thousands of people like me who would prefer to pay drop in fees a handful of times a year when we make it out to the range.
