Hello guys, I managed to get enough material donated to us to build new props. Fozzy & I have built the 20 new roof props. However, I have no room to paint them over here where we built them and I am having them shipped to Vokes range un-painted. I was wondering who could be the painting party, I will be supplying the paint, trays brushes and rollers. I just need a little help with labour. Who can help?

Let me know where & when, and if the work/family scedule allowes I can be there to help.

Any though on using a Non-Skid deck coating for the tops????;) The added grip on the top surface would be nice, plus the deck coating would probably be more durable weatherwise in the long run.

Real men don't need non-skid deck coating.;)

If it is supposed to simulate a roof, why not use a roofing product to finish it with?
Because it is a multipurpose prop, if on it's side it simulates a car with a long short opening on the one side to simulate shooting under a vehicle, if standing on end it simulates a wall and has another hole further up the wall that is the window, or it is also a roof if laid down. Not to mention BCRA is not owned by Donald Trump and the cost of shingling 20 roof props, let alone moving them when done...they would be heavy as hell.
Oh, on a side note
Skullboy, I can see if Starbucks can sponsor us cupholders to screw on to the props so you have somewhere to put your latte....non skid surface, is that the Rohann side of you?:p

Now thats the smartest idea I have heard yet.:dancingbanana:

I F*ckin hate it when my Mocha gets knocked over...... Makes me grumpy...........;)

The Non-skid thing doesn't bother me, but the deck type coatings would last longer outdoors (Since the props are stored outside) and wouldn't require re-doing every year.

you had better talk to the executive again they have money, that is used to support the TR guys
I know the BCRA has money for TR, but and this is a big but. We currently are sucking the hind teet in the BCRA and we Tac shooters are working on changing this. It is hard for them so spend dollars on something that is only used once a year for a class that isn't even a class yet. Once we get this setup and start shooting as a seperate entity to F-Class and do this more than once a year we may have a foot to stand on. Another thing, as far as the money that this shoot generates, I am working on dumping it back into prizes if more people would get there entries in I would know what we are dealing with cash wise and what we can afford.

Well I hope it's skiddy as hell! Why not put some broken glass and nails on there too?

Don't worry, I'm not much of a wood butcher, so yeah you may get a nail or a screw poking through the wood:D ..................Just kidding, they turned out pretty good. Mind you ,they definitely aren't cabinet quality.

Mike I know how that feels several years ago our club had no money now after 5 yrs we have a good bank account .How ever the BCRA needs to acknowledge that TR is not the only shooting sport that the DCRA supports

Well that's good. It's not like they need to look nice, they just have to be able to support our weight and preferrably not stab us :).

Thank you gentlemen for the interest in giving this shoot a helping hand. I have a bit of routering to do on the edges of the roofs and then I will be having them shipped to Vokes. I will post once they are there and all of the supplies are on site. Thanks.
