I asked for advice last fall as I was going to get a roll cage built for the ATV. I took the info offered on this forum and this is what we came up with. The idea is if the machine rolls the crate is crush proof and may even break away as it is held at two points on the plastic deck. No ATV accessory is complete without the requisite bungee cords and these even better as they are home made. There is about $100 worth of materials that could be trimmed by buying after market fasteners. mine were bought from Polaris and were $50. Online catalogues show these parts at $10. Very easy changeover to the two-up seat.

I honor your concern for the fur on the ATV's.
I never worried about our pooch as she sat on the seat in front of me and I
was never in a hurry to get tossed, nor her.
The biggest thing and concern for me is seeing these crates tossed in the back
of a pick up box unsecured with a fur in there. A good bump on a gravel road
or the truck leaving the road would cause poor Fido a bad mishap.
I think what you have here is a great idea, but more so on a blacktop/pavement
enterprise.
Cinch Fido down in the back of the truck in one of these and I think you would have
Dragon's Den support.

Great idea.
