Those of you who knew Aubrey- “North American Shooting Systems”. Canadian Imperial Magnums, etc etc. recently passed. In his honour the Osoyoos Wildlife Federation is starting an annual .22 competition as Whitey loved this sport on the weekends when he wasn’t beating us with the .30BR and 6mm…
We had a great showing for the first. We are looking to do a .22 junior program with funds raised as well.

1st Annual Aubrey White Memorial was a great success. Thanks to all who attended from close and far!

We held a “fun” shoot and allowed many old and new shooters to enjoy the morning. We shot USBR targets at 40 yard range (yes. Not 50) which was 25 small… I mean small targets for score. The wind came out to make things fun. Results are emails to those who competed. Congratulations to the following:

“Comp rifle”
1st- Al Cardinal with 220 3x
2nd- Mike Crane with 219-4x
3rd- Pat Smith - 204-2x

“Sporting”
1st- Rod Rezka with 216-5x
2nd- Wilf Mueller with 205-3x
3rd- Mike Jordan- 178-2x

Many great scores were posted!!
New to the sport shooters also posted fantastic scores and were able to borrow “open” class rifles.

Thank you to all that came out and competed- Tim H, Darryl B, Darren S, Chris S, Ticker & Elaine Q, Anna T, and special mention as well to Bridget F for her first competition entry at 12 years old! Also to shooters from Grand Forks club and Keremeos clubs and Gearhardt who came to lend a helping hand, equipment and observe.

We will be hosting this every year on the 2nd weekend of June and are working on practise sessions leading up.
