Aug 5 Canadian Rimfire Precision Series - Long Range Rimfire Match at Taber, Alberta

CRPS is coming to Taber Shooting Foundation on August 5, 2018. The PRS-style match will consist of 10-timed stages, shot from PRS-style barricades and props with 1-5 steel targets per stage. Targets are placed between 75m to 350 with the majority under 225 meters.

The matches are restricted to .22 lr rifles and divided into two classes. Production (Rifles MSRP under $500 no mods plus optics under $500) and Open.

These are really fun events to attend. Don't get too hung up on the divisions. The main thing is to have fun and learn. I attended the Valcartier event this spring and had a real blast. I used a Marlin XT22 I had kicking around. With no real "long range" shooting experience other than a little practice, reading articles and asking lots of questions, I managed a mid pack finish.

I'm excited for the next one to happen nearby.
