Okay, I'll start this month...

1943 Rock-Ola mfg USGI .30 cal M1 carbine recently acquired in a trade for another item that was surplus to me:

Carbine likely upgraded in post WWII era for later service with bayo lug barrel band, milled rear adj site, etc.

Still a fairly nice example of a relatively rare WWII M1 carbine GI contract manufacturer.

I was lucky enough to pick up what turned out to be an indonesian star no1mk3. After a strip down and detailed cleaning I am very happy with it, some pitting on the outside of the barrel but the bore is fantastic. numbers match, and the bolt although not serial numbered to the indonesian marks is serial numbered to the stock.

I lucked out at Wholesale Sports the other day and came home with an original SVT-40 Sniper Refurb. I wasn't even going in to buy a rifle but couldn't resist at the price. I'm not even sure what I'll do with it. for the moment I've verified it has a good bore but that's it. it's back in the bag it came in with the preservative still on it. She sure looks nice in the sunlight though.

The stock was cracked at the wrist but has been repaired and reinforced during refurb.

My new Swedish Mauser Model 1896 built in 1899. Beautiful condition with a Faldt diopter sight. Looking forward to shooting this at long range alongside my K31.

Another old gun!

Got this one today, little rough on the outside, but will clean up well.
It's all complete, untouched and 100% matching numbers, down to the smallest screw.
Bore is like new!

There aren't any regimental marking on the butt cap, does that mean the rifle was never issued?

Not necessarily. Regimental marks were applied only until the 1890's, while reserve and landstuurm regiments used these rifles as late as 1917.

Got this 1907 Swede m96 for my wife. The stock has dents and dings but other then that it is in new condition. It's all matching except the barrel band, nose cap and cleaning rod.

Got a 1900 no1 mk1* MLE sporter coming this week to! I'm real excited to see it!

Just had an all matching eddystone P14 dropped in my lap. I say all matching in that every part has the "E" stamp and bolt/barrel/receiver match with a 5 digit serial starting with 49. I'm guessing it's an "mk1" and not a mk1* as there are no such markings that I can find.

Unfortunately it's not in original condition. Stock has been sporterized, no markings other than the filled in disk location. Rear sight ears were milled off and she has weaver bases installed. Bore however is immaculate and the action is super smooth.
I know very little about these rifles but am on the path to learn more :D
Gonna clean her up and take er out back behind the shop to see how she shoots
