$799-$999 (why don't I think these will be flying off the shelves?)

Marstar Enfields

I think I will stick to my 2A1's in 7.62 X 51. I like these but I think I will wait until someone else buys one and then sells it at a loss, because the novelty wears off. I waited 25 years for a mint 1896 Long Lee-Enfield in mint condition I think I can wait and see how these turn out.

Hmmm - at half the price I'd drop for a full stock in a heartbeat. Otherwise, I'll stick with my milsurp Mk III and pay 800+ for other stuff.

I'm curious to hear how they sell. It would be a shame if they went tits because they were priced above the market - looks like a really good initiative.

They're not sporterised, they're imitations of the Enfield L42A1/Enforcer.

If you are a fan of the L42A1, this is your chance to build up a a quasi -clone without having to fork over the big dollars for a real one.........IF you can find someone willing to part with one.

The last one I saw was going for over $3000.00.........

I personally like the L42A1 copy shown...........

SKBY.

In the end you're not getting a milsurp and you're not getting exactly a clone, so you're pretty much forking out some serious cash for a hunting rifle based on the enfield action.

They look like a quality piece of workmanship with substantial improvements on the original design, while at the same time ( at least with the full wood )keeping the classic look. I don't think they are overpriced for what you get, I wish I had the cash to spare.

Atleast those are good eneugh actions for building high precision rifles with. Enfield action seems pretty dead for anything but immitating the origional.

If it were a standard enfield action you might have a point, these are quite a bit more substantial.

That still has to be seen. I stopped taking manufacturers word on things a long time ago.

I dont get why people push Marstar stuff on this forum. They dont even want to help donate to run it like deallers 1/10th there size.

Marstar donated one of these rifles and one of their pistols to the DCRA National Services Conditions Championship shoot. The two firearms were awarded by draw to the competition participants.

I didn't see any other companies donate anything (except Colt Canada).

Kudos to Marstar for doing so,, and I hope they continue to do so in the future.
