Authentic scope mount for the FN49

I have an Egyptian FN49 that from what I understand is a rare specimen. It is configured with dove tail on the left side and position of markings to be turned into a sniper rifle. Of course getting a proper scope mount is not easy. Northridge in US has one (with out rail and rings) but they want $149.00 USD. The price does not worry me but they can not ship anything greater than $100.00 without an export license.
Does any one have any ideas on how I can get one of these into Canada?

To clarify, approximately 10,000 of the Egyptian contract FN49s had the dovetail for a scope. So just having the dovetail does not make them an original Egyptian FN49 contract sniper rifle. If your rifle has a wooden cheekpiece like an Enfield #4(T), muzzle compensator and a third swivel in front of the mag, it "may" be an Egyptian sniper. Not sure what you mean by "position of markings" but if you give a detailed description or post post pics it would help. (On second thought, if it fits the above description email the pics to me and I will give you obscene amounts of cash for the rifle  ).

Original Egyptian sniper FN49s (and there were only a handful) had a Meopta (Czech manufacture) scope which is virtually unobtainable. The Belgian OIP scope/mount sold by Northridge is for the Belgian sniper.

Here is a shot of a correct Egyptian scope/mount:

Here is an Egyptian sniper, note cheekrest and third swivel.

Thanks for the information.
I realize that just having the dove-tail on the left side means nothing. Every one I have ever seen has it. However this one is a little different. I say this because were comparing specimens at the club one day and it was noted that the markings on mine are not where they were for the other two. For example the serial numbers were on the right side where as the other two had them on the left. We scratched our heads a bit about this until some pointed out that if indeed there had been a scope mount installed, then the serial number can not be on the left side to be readable.
Also a while back I checked the serial number with a US site and they came back with this information:
Total number made 8000
Total number configured to become snipers 2000
Total number of snipers made 100

I am not looking to create a Egyptian sniper I just want a scope on this fine shooter but I do not want to modify it at all. Do you think that the Belgian scope will fit?

Also, on top of the markings, it does have the third swival in front of the mag. But it does not have the cheekpiece nor the compensator. Hence I think it is one of the 2000. Not a sniper but still a bit rare.

Some Egyptian contract rifles had dovetails, some did not. Since yours has the third swivel it definitely falls into the "configured to become" category.

The Belgian OIP scope/mount set-up will work fine. Finding one in Canada is another matter. I think WTB ads on some of the US boards would be your best bet.

Thank you again.
I think I located one but they will not ship it because it is greater than $100.00 hence it requires a export license, which they wont do.
So perhaps I can ask a dealer here to see if they can buy it for me
