Auto Ordnance 1911A1 GI

I'm in the market for my first 1911 and I've always liked the classic look of the GI. Anyone have any experience with this manufacturer?

I don'r know about the 1911 but the M1-Carbine I bought from them is quite nice...

The "plane jane" GI-blueprint 1911 does it for me too.
Don't know anything about Auto Ordnance 1911 but I've been eyeing the Springfield GI version for a few years. They show up on the EE once in a while.

They are great! I had my gunsmith remove the Series 80 internals and give it an action and trigger job. Shoots amazing!
