Automatic feeders

Looking to buy an automatic feeders but can't find reviews on the newer nxt gen moultrie auto feeder.

Apparently other moultrie products aren't very good? have they gotten better? I dunno what im supposed to look out for...

Is american hunter any better?

What do you guys recommend?

I’ve been using my Moultrie feeder for the last 6 years without any issues. It spends time out in the bush from November to April. The battery remains fully charged the whole time and the electronics hold the time accurately and never skips a feeding. Couldn’t ask for anything better

Ive had a moultrie tripod feeder for 10 years, been outside for 8 or 9. I did have to replace the control board, after the cows knocked it over and got rained on. Same battery since new, with a solar charger on it.

Does anyone have issues with feeders scaring deer off, or the deer taking a while to get used to it?

Deer get used to it quickly. When they hear the sound in the am, they come across the field for breakfast.

Have a moultrie collapsable feeder in my backyard as well as a moultrie trail cam set up to watch what animals come by. Both have worked flawlessly for the past 2 years theyve been sitting out there. The only thing ive had to do was glue a metal plate to the lid of the feeder after the squirrels ate through one corner.

Nothing seems scared of it as far as i can tell.
