Is there a source for RWS brass in Canada? I'd like to get some. I reloaded a fair number of cartridges many years ago with RWS brass--8x68S, 9.3x64 Brenneke, 9.3x74--and found it to be really good stuff. It seemed to be harder and tougher than other makes of brass and held the primer pockets tight through many, many reloadings.

For what it's worth, I believe RWS, Norma and Geco are all under the same umbrella corporation. There's a reasonable chance the brass will be the same.

Geco = RWS

I deal with agencies that use their ammunition and coming out of the same skids or ammunition you will have some stamped RWS and other Geco.

I personally am a big fan of RWS products. Anything I have used from their brand has been top notch

I have 60 pieces of RWS 7x57 brass. [It was loaded ammo, initially]
It seems to be pretty decent stuff....consistent and quite strong.
However, it needed trimming right away. Many cases were overlength
by as much as .020". D.

I went on the Geco website and found that, although they make loaded centerfire rifle ammunition, they don't seem to provide unprimed brass for rifle cartridges. They do, however, provide unprimed brass for a number of handgun cartridges. I don't know whether the Geco centerfire rifle ammunition is identical to the corresponding RWS ammo, but I suspect it isn't. Both RWS and Geco, along with Rottweil (which is really just RWS; they seem to be the same company) and Norma, are parts of the larger Swiss RUAG corporation, but that doesn't mean that corresponding products from the companies are identical.

RWS brass has a reputation for hardness and toughness and generally excellent construction. Norma brass, although decently made, has had a reputation for being soft. Whether this is still the case, I don't know. I'm shooting Norma brass in my 6mm. and .22 PPC rifles, and so far it has held up well.

I've ordered RWS brass & ammo thru Wolverine in MB, takes a while, but it can be had. Just got some ammo thru Tradexx, had some on his site, Wolverine had some 8x68 (?) too, CSC had some for the guns they were selling, 7x65r, 7x57r, 30r. Think North Sylva was distributing it in Cda. RWS USA shows almost zilch on their website for rifle ammo. RWS doesn't seem to want to push their stuff over here. I want some more TUG's and H-mantels, not sure if they even sell them as components anymore.
