availability of surplus 7.62X54R?

Just wondering if anyone knows if cases or crates (whatever you want to call it) of surplus (corossive) 7.62X54R are still available and if so who sell them. I know a lot of people were hawking this stuff a few years back.

I'm think of picking up a SVT-40 and would like to feed it a diet of surplus ammo.

I bought one of the last two they had in stock, and they were selling it for $289 plus tax and shipping.

Mr. Buttons, many stores carry Sellier & Bellot 180gr. SP if you really can't find any surplus Czech. It's three times the price, but at least the cases are reloadable...
 
Yeah, I got three of those cases at Epps as well. The stores get them in every now and then. If you want an SVT, and you find some surplus 7.62 x 54R, then grab as much as you can while it is available.

The surplus seems to pop up every now and then in big shipments at most dealers.
 
A bunch of other places would have some if stocks hadn't run out, including most local gun shops and, among our sponsors, P&D, Marstar, Frontier, SFRC, etc. but none of'em will have any until the next shipment.

Almost all the stores got their last batch of 7.62x54R surplus from Marstar, since they are the major importer. So when Marstar is out....... :wave:
