I've pumped thousands of rounds in my 9mm handguns of all bullet types, grains, etc... Well except for +P and +P+ ammo.

I have a few hundred rounds of "defensive" hollow points which are almost exclusively overpressure cartridges or +P. I don't shoot them because it's expensive as all hell but if I ever needed too, since I've never really shot any target +P loads, it could be a different animal all together.

I'm looking for some affordable $350 per 1000 commercial +P or +P+ 9mm luger in Canada. A little plus or minus on the price but you get the idea. I want to train on some overpressure loads without spending $1 per shot prices.

I'm going to pick a few nits here.

I'm assuming what you are actually looking for is increased velocity, not just increased pressure.

To get what you want safely and affordably, reload your own.

You can select one of the slower burning powders in the right burning rate range, and using the reloading table, ramp the velocity up while staying within SAMMI specs.

Now I'm not entirely sure why you want to do this.
My paper and cardboard targets rarely bow down in respect to the velocity of the bullet.
My guns cycle fine with anything, so all running hotter ammo through them does is potentially wear them faster.
Training with something hotter than used on match day can induce as many problems as it corrects.

Geco, a swiss made ammo was brought into the country a while back, it was hot, very hot. It didn't say +p on the box, but it was hot You may still find some around. I bought several K at the sportsman's den in red deer.

generally +P and +P+ is defensive... and you pay more for that little word.

If you want to train with hot loads, roll your own, it's cheap to make your own.
