Under the avatar or profile picture there is a small subscript that might say: Newbie, CGN Regular, Bigmouth etc. How are these assigned?

They're based on post count. I don't know at which number of posts you gain a new "rank", and I don't think they're listed, which is probably for the best...

Thanks. Just found the numbers from a post by sandman.

<30 posts = Newbie
>30 but <100 = Member
>100 but <1000 = CGN Regular
>1000 but <2000 = Big Mouth
>2000 but <3000 = I have no life
>3000 = Help! I sold my soul to the internet
Mods and Admins have custom titles

Posts in Newbie FAQ, Exchange, and Off topic don't add to your post count.
