Hi All, I just wanted to share my recent experience with Snap Shots Inc. located in Quebec. The customer service/gunsmiths over at Snap Shot were very professional and just plain awesome. In summary, Snap Shot took care of repairing my Ruger without any issues. I didn't have any frustrating moments or feel worried about what could go wrong, nor did they try to squeeze every nickel and dime out of me. As a matter of fact, they repaired my Ruger at no cost what so ever! But more on that below.

Basically, my Ruger was failing to eject spent rounds reliably. After getting to my wits end trying to figure out what was wrong and trying to "fix" it myself, I finally had a moment of clarity and decided to get the pros to repair it so I could enjoy taking it to the range once again. I found Snap Shot Inc. on Ruger's website under their warranty repairs, and I reached out to them explaining what I was experiencing and asked them how much it would cost to have it repaired. (I knew it wasn't going to be under a warranty repair, but I wanted a Ruger specialist to look after the repair.) Of course this was a stupid question to ask because there was no way for them to know what the problem was without inspecting it first. But they are professionals and just nicely explained what some of the common issues were and what their rates were to repair it. They told me it would likely cost some arbitary number. Everything that was explained was reasonable and made sense, so I said I wanted to proceed and asked them what to do next. The rest is history.

If I may reiterate again, I didn't pay anything for my repairs. Snap Shot took care of everything including shipping my Ruger back to me. The work order included with my Ruger says they replaced a couple of parts, and notes at the bottom say they ran a number of test fire rounds through it without issue. (Yeah!) Since I just got it back today, I haven't tested fired it but I'm confident they'll be no more frustrating issues. And even by fluke there are still issues, I know I can send it back to them without any worry whatsoever.

No one has asked me to write about my experience or anything like that, on the contrary, I hope that I don't get anyone in trouble by my writing this. But as I noted earlier I just received my Ruger back today and was so pleasantly suprised that something like this still happens in today's day and age, that I felt the urge to share my experience with our CGN community. My only disclaimer is everyone's experience will vary depending on your particular issues with your firearm. I presume I was lucky that my Ruger just needed couple of parts that weren't costly and didn't take much time to repair. But your mileage may vary. The more important message here is that the folks over at Snap Shot are solid professionals and they won't nickel and dime you over every little thing. If they can help you out, and do a little extra like they did for me, I'm sure they will without making it a big deal.

I just wanted to say to any one else having issues with their Rugers, do not hestiate to reach out to the good folks at Snap Shot. Snap Shot are worthy stewards of our sport and can be trusted. They are like any one of us who just want to enjoy our sport and to help other like minded people when we can. To me this is no different then when we're at the range having a friendly conversation about shooting, cleaning solvents, or helping someone sight in their rifle. Snap Shot, you probably won't ever see this, but I just wanted to thank you again.

Peter
