Hi all, due to the fact that i havent worked this past year i've discovered the world of used/vintage items. picked these bino's up for $20 and i'm amazed at the quality and clarity from such a small package, they're Tasco 8x20 circa late 50's-60 made byKogaku Kogyo who produced for Nikon not 100% sure so any info would help.
Was looking for compact and quality and these fit the bill...i've been researching for a while and unless i spent $200 i wasn't going to find anything of good quality, these will go well with the Bushnell spacemasterII 15-45 x 60 that i just scored for $120 (amazing quality for the price and Japanese glass as well).

I bet you that $20 Tasco is way better buildt than my 8x30 "military" Steiners I bought for close to $400 in late 80'.

My neighbours must think i'm a perve because i haven't put these bino's down since i got them, they came with the original case which looks lightly used from the condition their in.
i still can't get over how clear they are...i googled those stieners they look pretty cool as well.

While not $20, folks on a budget should check out Cameraland Ny's awesome deals on the Minox BF 8x42 binoculars. They start at $99 - regular $289. They are fantastic.

Oh dear... you shouldn't have told me about that....

My gf picked up a pair of Sears "Wide Angle" 7 x 35 for $20 at a second hand shop a couple of years back. While they won't give Swarovski any lost sleep, we were both impressed that a pair of budget binos were that clear and sharp. :)
