Would like to hear your thoughts on why would someone prefer (functionality/application-wise) the 225mm GHM9 vs the 175mm one. I like the extra purchase/rail space in the front of the 225mm. I also wonder if it would work better in competition vs the shorter models. Please share your thoughts and impressions if you are already running a GHM9. Thanks.

When I bought mine there were only 175mm and 110mm models available. I wanted the 175, but by the time I placed my order they were sold out and only the 110 was left. Although I am happy with the 110, I would definitely have preferred the 175. I added an aftermarket 3 lug adapter/brake to get a little more length (the 110 barrel seems very short and the muzzle is very close to your left hand).I would love to be able to fire the 110 and 175 &/or 225 models back to back for comparison. Anyone in the Okanagan with a longer GHM-9 want to meet at the range???

Ammo cost got me looking into this awhile ago.

The advantage is about 100 fps more, so that is a bit under 20% energy increase from a 4.3 to a 7" bbl. And it is difficult see how a mini pistol light such as TLR-7 can work with the short or long handguard wiithout actually playing with it.
