A friend of mine wants to sell a B.C. Miroku, single shot 12 gauge shotgun.

Its in good very good shape. The wood although with a few dings and carved in initials is very nice. When he took it out of the cabinet, i thought it was a double barrel. from the shape, style and quality of the wood (i was expecting one of those beat to crap ####ty Belgian 100 yr old guns) the forearm is at least double the width if not close to 2 1/2 -3 times of the barrel.

Has a full vent rib on the barrel.

Some basic but nice engraving on the receiver.

the extractor/ejector seems to be missing the spring as it just slides back and forth very loosely.

I am looking at buying it off of him as a favour, so he doesnt have to deal with it or more importantly take it in for destruction.

Can anyone put a ball park on this and can i get the parts i need?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the gun you are describing is a trap gun. Miroku is the company that manufactures the Browing Citori and the BT-99 and BT 100. Depending on how much you get it for, it is well worth restoring. Some trap shooters deliberatly disable the extractor/ejector so they can pocket shells for reloading. Does the gun have a safety? If not, it is only good as a dedicated trap gun.

Thanks for the quick reply! My buddy says that the ex/ej just stopped working. I am new to these types of shotguns, so i really didnt look for a safety, however pretty sure there isn't one and he did mention that he did use it for trap.

If he is just trying to avoid the chopper, I would be happy to have you mail it to me. I have a PAL and would give it a good home:D

Seriously! Without pics it would be hard to tell value. It should be worth as much as a BT-99 in similar shape.
