B.c. Provincials

It Certainly was not me !:HR: I came close on one but that's it. Team Savage were the winners of most TR-F class stuff.
Good Time though:)

Results of BC Provincials:

Lieutenant Governor's

F-Class (Open): Ian Hames
F-Class (FTR): John Weil (Team Savage)
TR: Annette Wachter

Congratulations to the Winners!

I understand that conditions were very challenging.........

Other results will be posted on the BCRA website soon.

No Chair rides. F-Class have been relegated to walking with the TR shooter while they are chaired... like second class citizens. I expect the F-showing will be even less next year.

Seems like we have lost some serious ground. I'd like to know who's behind that.

Kind of like service conditions!Sucks doesn't it?Did they even offer the chair? We don't even get the option.Maybe next year with our new director something will come about for SR and perhaps F Class too.

Sounds like Ottawa will do it right from 2011 and on... maybe...
Saskatchewan has no chair so no one gets a free ride LOL.

I have heard that there is a move afoot to in fact make this a tradition for all classes of shooters at the CFRC.

And congrats to Ian, John and Annette!! Nice shooting ya'all

I Thought John Said not to worry about the Ride, But Maybe I missed something! (not uncommon!).... I did!:confused: I did not realize Ian won the Lt. Gov too! That is Unfair AND Unsportsmanlike to not give the ride. this will have to be addressed at the AGM , to make sure it will not happen again.
Last year , and in years prior,I thought there was only 2 LT. Gov winners, a TR & a FO or FTR winner for the chair.

Kudos to BC for recognizing both F-TR and F-O winners, not just a F-Class winner. Considering that it's a long walk from the 600m point to the admin building, I'm kinda glad they did not chair it three times.

Most service rifle winners don't need to be carried anywhere. Let's remember why service rifle originally was created. Most fun you can have with your boots on.

Trigger, that is very true of all shooting.

F-Class has always struggled with treatment that ranges from ambivalence to open hostility withing the TR ranks. Recognizing FTR is long long overdue and I applaud that, however, the Lt. Governor's Prize is prestigeous and tradition dictates how the winners are recognized. This year's FTR winner has a physical disability, and doing a "forced march" was murder on him. I would rather we not be recognized at all as opposed to the indignity of placing one discipline literally above all others. They also never awarded keeper plaques to the F-Class LGP winners. In BC, CyaN1de, Shockman and I have all been chaired in the past, and I would like to see future winners reconized appropriately.

F-Class used to be given equal regard and recognition, but we have suddenly been set back 20 years.

Did anyone bring this up to the BCRA F-Class director if he was in attendance?

I would think that this would be the person that the problem should have been brought to at the time.
