B&L BalVar 8

Can anyone give me info on a baush and lomb 2.5-8, BalVar 8 model scope?

It is solid steel, and doesn't appear to have a way to adjust it. Where the turrets should be, there is only a screw, on the side and the top.

[Why not?]

There are no adjustments in the Balvar 8 or the 8A. They need to be mounted with mounts that have the adjustments in the mount such as the B&L, Kuharsky or Buehler Micro-Dial.

I have an 8A in Buehler mounts on my 300 H&H.
