I will be putting up a BSA Model 12 for sale. Serial number is under 55,000, so it was made around 1936? Sight is a P/H 7A. Both wood and metal are in VG condition. The barrel is stamped "JESSOPS FLUID PRESSURE STEEL". Bore is bright and shiny. Left side of receiver has the BSA logo, with "TRADE MARKS" stamped in large letters. Brass container for additional front inserts is attached to forestock. Have no idea what a fair market value is. Thanks in advance for any information.

I too, wanted to see what prices would be given, but it looks like no replies until you get pictures up.
There were so many variations of the BSA falling block 22 rifles. I have shot quite a few of them but have no idea which one would be a Model 16.
Come on, pictures, or at least a better description.

Pictures would help, with close up of of the action and the barrel crown.

I would have said something like $300-$400 (depending on condition) since the 'target' rifles are somewhat less in demand than the 'sporting' rifle.. But price for Martini's are all over the place these years... So take that with a grain of salt.

Here's a new in the box (wrapping) action for the 22 Martini.

The Model 12 BSA .220 Martini

I recall that in 1939, Stoeger pictured this rifle with the fold-down tang peep at $125!

The first rifle (used) that I bought with my own money about 1943 was from Chas. Parkinson, late gun smith in London, Ont.

That rifle accounted for more Kent county groundhogs than I wish to brag about, and all head shots with CIL .22LR Dominion or Whiz-Bangs.

I've personally paid between $325 and $550, depending on condition. Still have the $550 one, and will never let it go.
