So, I got a hold of a gun with this professionally installed. It came with two older ASC RRA mags that work. I had 4 newer ASC RRA mags, and they will not catch. I have tried some other steel AR mags just for fit and they will not catch either.
The likely problem is that the older mags are swaged out a bit over the magazine catch, and that the newer ones are not.
Anyone else had this problem? How did you solve it? Modify the mag catch? Modify the mags? I doubt I'm going to find a lot of older ASC mags around.
