B14 300WM magazine issues

Just got a new Bergara B14 in 300 WinMag. Purchased a pmag 5 LA mag as a spare. It fits and locks into the magwell perfectly but has issued feeding into the chamber. The bolt starts to strip a round but then the round skips off and goes under the bolt causing a jam. Does this every time even on a full mag. The pmag looks identical to the factory bergara mag in all dimensions, if anything, the follower sits a little higher which would be a good thing, you would think.

Anyone else have this issue? Or is it a out of spec pmag?
Any incite would be appreciated.

It sounds like it might be sitting a bit low. How does it fit? Is there any vertical play? If there is, if you push up, will it feed then?

No, it sits exactly the same as the factory mag. Pushing up on it doesn't really change anything. Very mysterious.

Is that the regular pmag or magnum pmag? They sell both so there’s maybe something very different with the lips?

Good point. I run the stock mag and a Magnum pmag. The magnum pmag is noticeably longer.
