Well this is my second Baby Eagle and they both shoot very high. I spoke with Bob at MR and he told me it's meant to be a 6 o'clock hold position but I already knew that. I shoot great with my other guns but for some reason they go about 4-5" high at 20 feet of distance! That's way to high! I just ordered the millet sights so I hope I can adjust them according to my shooting. Anyone else experience this problem?

Also, I now have had 2 baby eagle mags explode on me from falling to the bench after ejection. I'm talking a distance of about 1 foot. No warranty replacement as I'm told that's not normal use. I guess this gun couldn't be used for any competitions if the mags disintegrate on impact. Not like they are cheap to buy at $69 each.:runaway: MR sells them for $30 each so I ordered a bunch more. Anyone else had the same issues?

Different ammo can make a difference in your POI......115g won't hit the same as 147g, try some different ammo to get your gun shooting POA

My loaner S&W 5946 shoots Winchester 147 grain ammo low, UMC ammo high and Federal golden sabres just right. I can tell which ammo I'm shooting just by the POI.

On a side note it shoots 115 grains poorly. Lots of fliers.

Test out which ammo your likes. I'd recommend a quality 147 grain 9mm.

You have a problem with the sights, I have a .40 Baby eagle, all my home loads and most factory rounds hit the 10 ring at that range, I aim at 6.00 O'clock and have no problems shot after shot where I pput them.

It may be the sights. However:

On my pistol the sights are fixed, and the pistol shoots the ammo it was meant to shoot perfectly. Meanwhile for head shots at 25 yards I have to aim at the throat with UMC 147 grain practice ammo.

The sights on my pistol are perfect for duty ammunition but not as good for practice ammo.

Until different ammo has been tried out, I would be hesitant to go have the sight changed. Each pistol is a bit different, which has more to do with barrel preferences. If the ammo that you plan on using most frequently (most accurate etc) shoots well and properly with the sights then why bother having it changed?

Look at the difference in POI with scoped rifles and different ammo. My 10/22 is set up perfectly for match ammo. Shoot dirty bird Federal in it and you'll get one inch high and an inch to the left at 25 yards.

Anyways I'd rule out the ammo before having the sights changed/fixed.
Another reason why I prefer adjustable sights on my personal pistols.

Thanks guys. I have tried different ammo but mostly Federal. It's very frustrating. The new sights are on the way so I'll try that first and see what happens. So nobody has had any problems with the mags breaking apart then?

Thanks Again.
