Baby Eagle mags?

The "Genuine" BE factory mags sold by Gunclips are phony knockoffs. The package looks 'real' with the 'factory' Magnum Research card inside and the mags look like the factory mags, but they AREN'T. I'm sure that Bill is a great guy, but he's either selling phony factory mags or second-line sublets manufactured under license by a toy factory.
I would NOT recommend Gunclips to anyone. Buy the real thing locally. I ended up paying over $75 for two mags, only one of which was "factory" and it doesn't work. The other one...well, let's just say I had to destroy it. (Stop laughing, Gunnar....)
Edited to add photo's: The Gunclips' "Genuine" BE mag is in the middle, flanked by two VERY genuine OEM Magnum Research mags that came with the pistol:-
This photo shows the higher follower in the phony mag (centre):

This photo shows the differently spaced witness holes in the phony mag:

This photo shows the completely different "9mm" stamp on the phony mag. Note also the molding marks on the baseplate:

Remember...this mag was in "Genuine" Magnum Research packaging and advertised by Gunclips as a Genuine factory mag.

Holy bananas!!! My BE mags from Gunclips are totally different than yours! This was the second time I dealt with Gunclips because the first time worked out well with my Mec Gar mags. They originally shipped Pro Mags which were 3.00US less than the 'originals' but they paid the postage for returning them. Now, I wonder if I may have been better off with the Pro Mags. BTW, I agree with buying locally.

The factory original is in the centre.

They're not even close to what Six Star got but were advertised as original factory mags as well and was in 'genuine' Magnum Research packaging. Check out the floor plate pic.....

misfire I end up with the same problem with 3 mags (got 4 mags). Next time at the range I will see what I can do about it. Let me know if you can fix yours.

Oilman, I think the problem with the Gunclips 'factory' magazines is the follower. See photo, the top left side of the Gunclips 'factory' magazine's follower doesn't extend out far enough to catch or actuate the mechanism that locks the slide after the last round. I think a possible fix would be to find a different follower or to modify it.

The ones on either side are the early 10 round desing used for Canada and the start of the US 10 round ban. BATF refused the design shortly after the ban and mags had to be cut short (like the new 10 rounders and this middle one) BATF thought that the dents could be easily banged out.

You see this on different gernations of CZ mags too.

im waiting on five 40 cal mags from an ebay source. he has 9mm as well but only ships to a us address though. $60 usd shipped for the five. find a contact in the US and have them send it back to you. im not sure why he wont ship to canada, they are perfectly legal. his name is paul and his email is reddogxx@redrivernet.com

You get what you pay for, guys

I usually have Baby Eagle mags in stock at $50. I sell CZ75 mags (which work) at $45. I'm hoping everyone except me in the Production Division next year is using USA Mag, Pro-Mag, or other $9 junk...Gimme a break...There really is no free lunch. There are "Baby Eagle" mags routinely on eBay that may fit something, but certtainly not any Baby Eagle...:)

OK, I got that off my chest :D
