I wanted to get into long range for a while now and after looking at buying a new rifle, and more importantly the cost :(, I've decieded to modify a rifle already in the vault.

So, the said piece of hardware is a Parker-Hale 1200 in .300 Win Mag and I think I'll make a copy of the C3A1. My question is who makes a GOOD haevy barrel for a mauser 98 action???

You mean the C3A1 (Sniper Rifle), C1A1 was the Semi Auto FN FAL...

I got a Harts HBAR on my FN 98 Mauser.

Here's my 98 project, I wouldn't mind getting a A2 MCM stock for it.

Any of the Cdn. barrel makers can supply a quality barrel, for $350 -$400 delivered. Fitting and chambering will add another $250 or so. If you don't want to stay with a magnum calibre, a new bolt body and extractor will have to be fitted. You might be able to find an original wooden C3 stock. Good synthetic stocks are not cheap, one to duplicate a C3A1 will certainly not be inexpensive.
Robert - what stock is that on your rifle?
My point is that you will not be able to assemble the rifle you want for less than a new Savage or Remington heavy barrelled rifle will cost. With a good scope, you could certainly use the PH as is, until you decide on what you want, and how much you want to pay.

You can find good deals on CGN, I picked up that FN 98 off CGN for 550.00, Came with the Harts 308 HBAR Fitted.

I sold the PH C3 stock, PH Base and Rings that were included. Added a 20MOA Base, IOR Rings, Bushnell scope, That Stock, plus the Timney trigger ALL for less then 900$

As for that Stock I don't know only cost me 100$ I got it off here.

Yes, if you watch for good deals the price can come down. Rifle I'm currently working up is a bitser - salvaged Remington action, $75, used Remington across the course Nat'l Match stock, $100, Rock barrel, traded stuff that cost me $200, Weaver T series steel target scope, $250. Did my own smithing. Would seem to be a real shooter.
Nice bolt handle on your rifle......
