Yeah, throw the lever away.
I've seen far more ARs have problems with BAD levers of all sorts than ones without.
Heard of that happening to quite a few guys on here.
I bought a couple Phase 5 one piece battery assist levers and they work great on both my lowers.

Non milspec AR's are usually the culprit, look behind the bad lever right at the top where it joins the original tab, if it is touching your upper it may need some light filing.

Concur.
Zero issue on my Norinco lower, fwiw.
Non milspec is a tad incorrect as I've seen it happen on all sorts of AR's, quite possibly the BAD lever that is slightly out of spec. Both rifle and lever are mass produced and could be out some. A light filing on the back of the lever will fix it. You could switch to a phase 5 and encounter the same issue.
Some people clip 1-2 coils off of the bolt catch spring to alleviate the problem.
My advice is to remove the BAD lever, wrap it in a bore snake if you have one and throw the bundle in a garbage can.
Current and future problems fixed.

Send it my way before that happens, my wife's rifle could use one![]()
