Bad eyes: still fun

No cataracts for me, but man...presbyopia is a female canine quadruped. I find I have to move my head around to find the focusable spot in my progressive lenses when shooting pistols. And rifles with iron sights...? What? There's a target out there...? The front sight...?

Had my cataracts done last week. Haven’t been shooting yet. Really looking forward to it. Vision is so much better.

Aikinut - Be sure to get some really good sun glasses. I find that I'm still sensitive to bright sunlight - 3 years after double C-surgery. The C weren't 'too cloudy' but I had glaucoma too. Still watching out for that to come back, but I've had 4 sessions of iridotomy (laser holes to relieve pressure) and so far . . .

I’ve been having a hard time at the range. Target scopes would not focus, I have a cataract on r eye. I replaced the target with a Leupold 2.5-8 hunting scope. Shooting through the blur I surprised myself with a few good groups at 50 m. The old Brno #4 gave some 1/2 & 3/4 inch groups. I was able to pick up the heavier cross hairs better. Hope my surgery is done before the gophers are out in numbers. Just felt good, need some of that now AJ
