BAD lever and trigger locks

I put a Magpul BAD lever on my Norinco CQ-A. I then went to put the trigger lock back on before putting it away. The lever interfers with installing the Master brand black key trigger lock. What do you folks who have a Magpul BAD lever do for trigger locks?
 
I just rotate the lock and put it on lightly. It aint pretty..... but you can make it work.

Unless you need to make sure it is on perfect under the hopes that the trigger lock would actually STOP someone from using that firearm....... then you should just weld it shut and lock it in a 2000lb safe and never touch it :D
 
I use cable locks. Trigger lock is useless on an arctic trigger. Cable locks the upper and lower together.
 
Why is everyone so eager to disable their firarms? A trigger lock or cable lock of the weakest variety is all that is needed. Locks are a legal requirement not a safety measure.

Never had that kind of problem locking it into my DD AR. Insert, turn key and remove key. Springs do not weaken when subject under tension it is the constant loading/unloading of the springs that causes them to eventually fail. Looks like this guy got a bad lock or he's all thumbs.

Good to hear you have no prob's with your DD. I plan for a DD next and like the idea of the magvault, as long as it works.

It would be interesting to have the law tested under a condition where you had a safe or vault installed in your car though. If the safe or vault is sufficient without a trigger lock in your home, then having one in your car you could probably get the court to agree that it was sufficient....the law seems to be written in such a way as to assume that a safe or vault cannot be installed in a car, but that has changed since the law was written.

Yeah, but what about the time&space between the front door and your driveway, or your front door - down the elevator - parking lot and your truck (for those living in a condo or apartment), or..

I have a Fort Knox box at home and it did cross my mind more than once to carry my handguns in it, but at over 23 pounds it's not all that practical. Could get another one for the truck specifically, but it's waters that I don't think have been tested yet.
