Wow, makes me glad I don't trust new things and don't have any .17hmr guns.

17 HMR is too hot for a straight blow back semi .
A friend had a 597 in 17 HMR it blew up twice . second time totaled the gun

If I remember correctly about the original Remington notice they were buying back the guns and ammo but sadly for us Canadian owners the prices they were offering to buy back were about HALF of what the guns and ammo cost up here originally?

sounds like the same warning we got about the ruger 44 semi-auto carbine. then ruger stopped making it.

It would be nice if firearm manufactures would do there R&D testing before they release them for sale to the public . Instead of using US !
