Was loading some mixed case 9mm rounds. I screened out most of the bad ones. A couple of WCC NATO cases had to be excluded of course. But, I missed a S&B 9mm case.
Of course, the primer went in hard and tight. Damn. I didn't want this case re-appearing in my system so I stopped and de-capped it, knowing I could reuse the primer.
Wrong. After setting aside that damn case, I put that primer back on the arm, ready to re-use it. I selected a once fired 9mm case and tried to seat that primer. Think it would seat? No chance. That damn S&B case primer pocket had swaged the diameter down and now it will not fit anything.
Had to throw it away. Bastard!

I have some S&B 7.62x54r that takes a lot of pressure to seat the primers. Other than that I have no complaints. And before anyone pipes up, Yes I do ream the primer pockets . I have reloaded them about 5 times with mild loads. I just got ahold of some new Privi (nny) brass, & the primers seated normally. Since 7.62x54r is hard to find these days, I would buy the S&B again if it was available.
