Badace M48 Scout Mount Experiences?

I am looking at buying one of the Badace Tactical scout mounts for my M48 Yugo Mauser. I want it for load development and possibly hunting if it works out well. Has anybody used this mount? How solid is it? Holds zero? Also, any advice/experience with scout scopes would be welcome.

I have one on my FN 1950 in .30/'06. I think the directions said it would also fit the M48.
It is a snug fitting unit than went on with no problem.
It's solid, but a bit awkward to use until you get the hang of it.

Mine is an Hi-Lux LER 2-7 x 32.
My base will fit the M48.
